    With this high-quality laser scanner, surfaces such as interior walls and facades can be quickly and easily checked for potential mold risk due to cold spots. The device allows for a non-contact measurement of the wall surface temperature using infrared and simultaneously automatically determines the dew point temperature value. The backlit LCD display ensures a clear and easily readable display of measurement values even in unfavorable lighting conditions. The integrated 20:1 dual laser visualizes the measurement spot on the respective measurement object. For dew point determination, the device additionally measures the current room temperature and humidity. Thanks to the acoustic and visual alarm function based on the traffic light principle, as well as the integrated bar graph indicator, the user quickly receives information even with larger measurement areas about whether the dew point has been reached or fallen below at a measurement point, thus indicating a risk of condensation and mold. 'Since a long-term increased relative humidity of about 70% is sufficient for the formation of mold on material surfaces, the device warns both acoustically and visually several degrees before the actual dew point. Therefore, it is worthwhile to check cold wall areas to detect condensation early and take preventive measures.'     "With 20:1 optics, always keep the measurement spot in view"   Measure the surface temperature of walls, materials, and objects contactlessly, meaning without touching the measurement object. To accurately assess the measurement area (measurement spot), the device is equipped with a dual laser pointer. Thanks to its geometric resolution of 20:1, the handheld measuring device also allows for accurate measurements from several meters away.     Recognizing mold risk   Since the device also has an air temperature sensor and an air humidity sensor (measuring range from 0% to 100% relative humidity) in addition to the infrared surface temperature measurement, the dew point temperature is automatically calculated from these 3 values.     This thermo-hygrometer allows for quick and uncomplicated monitoring of a healthy indoor climate, thanks to its clear display and simple operation, making it ideal for living and sleeping areas, offices, training rooms, and meeting rooms. Hair hygrometers, like this model, are characterized by their high precision. Equipped with a high-quality measuring mechanism 'Made in Germany', it ensures a measurement accuracy of ± 3 % r.H. in the range of 20 to 100 % relative humidity. The measuring principle is based on the length change of a specially treated synthetic fiber, which expands in moisture and contracts in dryness. This length change is converted into a rotational movement that controls the pointers on the display. The display of the hygrometer can be adjusted and calibrated through a simple zero point correction.   Ventilation recommendations   The display shows two scales with ventilation recommendations. During the cold season, the room humidity should not exceed 60%, while in summer, a slightly higher humidity of up to 70% in living areas is considered normal. Cooler basements, on the other hand, should not have more than 60% humidity year-round to avoid mold and odor formation. If the humidity remains above the suggested values despite ventilation, the use of a dehumidifier should be considered.     Hanging on the wall   This device is designed to be mounted on a wall. For this purpose, a suitable hole for a nail or screw is incorporated into the housing on the back. To ensure that humidity and temperature values are measured as accurately as possible, large air slots are provided on the sides. These allow for the free flow of room air and thus the best possible measurement. Please note that cold or poorly insulated exterior walls can distort the value.     This data logger enables precise monitoring of CO2 air quality in indoor environments such as offices, classrooms, or apartments. It features a generous data storage capacity that can hold up to 50,000 measurements, allowing for comprehensive long-term recording of carbon dioxide concentrations, air temperature, and humidity values. The measurement intervals are freely selectable and range from one second to twelve hours. An integrated CO2 traffic light visualizes changes in air quality at a glance. The recorded data can be conveniently transferred to a PC via a fast USB connection and analyzed and logged using the included analysis software. Thanks to the integrated Li-Ion battery, the CO2 data logger is suitable not only for stationary use on a table but also for mobile applications. Furthermore, the data logger offers property management companies and landlords the opportunity to optimally monitor and, if necessary, adjust ventilation behavior by simultaneously recording humidity, temperature, and CO2 concentrations.    Automatic Calibration (Automatic Baseline Calibration)   The currently expected CO2 fresh air value is around 400 ppm (0.04 %vol). This is assumed by the device as the lowest threshold (baseline). A special algorithm now continuously monitors the lowest measured CO2 value from the sensor over several days. This occurs over a preconfigured time interval and slowly corrects any detected long-term drift compared to the expected fresh air value of 400 ppm (or 0.04%vol) CO2.   In normal indoor applications, the carbon dioxide level eventually drops to nearly outdoor air levels over the course of a week. By recording the values over a period of 8 days and subsequently comparing the lowest value with the 400-ppm point, the measuring device determines whether it needs to adjust the zero point or not. This happens completely automatically. The algorithm thus takes advantage of the fact that the CO2 level in buildings/rooms regularly stabilizes at a minimum for a certain period when they are unoccupied.
