This measuring device is the ideal instrument for the rapid and precise control or long-term monitoring of ozone concentrations in the ambient air. Ozone, a nearly colorless gas, is produced naturally or generated technically. It consists of an unstable compound of three oxygen atoms (O3), which relatively quickly decomposes back into oxygen (O2). In the O3 compound, it acts as a strong oxidizing and disinfecting agent. It kills germs, bacteria, viruses, and odors up to 3000 times more effectively than a chlorine treatment. Therefore, it is used in various areas for the disinfection of air and surfaces. However, before treated spaces are made accessible again for people and animals, it is crucial that the ozone level is within the permissible range. For this purpose, this measuring device is essential. The device is characterized by an extremely low cross-sensitivity to other gases or VOCs and delivers fast, highly precise measurement results even at minimal ozone concentrations. Numerous integrated functions, such as the ozone zero adjustment, the reference value measurement for short-term and time-weighted averages, as well as the switchable value display from ppm to µg/m³, make this responsive measuring device an indispensable tool for the accurate determination of ozone loads. Furthermore, it serves as an environmental measuring device that captures air temperature and humidity, as well as calculates dew point and wet bulb temperature. This professional ozone destroyer accelerates the breakdown of residual ozone by ten times compared to natural ozone decay. The ozone treatment of indoor spaces is a proven and effective method for large-scale disinfections and for eliminating odors after fire and water damage. Until now, it has been necessary to wait for the lengthy natural ozone decomposition after each ozone treatment, during which unoxidized ozone slowly breaks down into oxygen. Only after the prescribed limit values were fallen below could the treated areas be safely re-entered. In indoor environments, the half-life of ozone under typical conditions is 30 to 60 minutes, meaning that the ozone concentration in the room air is halved only hourly. The larger the room and the more powerful the ozone disinfectant, the higher the ozone concentration and the longer the natural degradation process takes. In rooms with regular disinfections, the reagent reduction additionally prolongs the ozone degradation phases, leading to longer waiting times and higher usage failures. A cross-ventilation could accelerate ozone degradation, but often the necessary ventilation options are lacking in treated spaces such as hotel rooms with secured windows or windowless basements, storage rooms, and archives. This device enables a technical regeneration of oxygen in ozone-contaminated rooms, significantly accelerating their economic reusability. Depending on the conditions of use, rooms can be safely re-entered and utilized after just one-tenth of the time required for natural ozone decay.Unique master-slave solution for accelerated ozone degradation The "Zerozon" has been specifically designed for combined use with all ozone disinfectors of the "Airozon" Professional Series. For this purpose, the device is equipped with a dedicated power supply and a control console for the connected Airozon device, thus enabling the synchronized combined operation of both devices. Alternatively, standalone operation is also possible. Please note that this additional socket attached to the device complies with EU standards. For devices with Swiss plugs, this means that only two-pole Swiss plugs can be connected. Three-pole T12 plugs, on the other hand, do not fit without an adapter. In the Airozon combined operation, the Zerozon automatically switches off the connected Airozon device after reaching the configured treatment duration and automatically begins the technical oxygen regeneration. For this purpose, the Zerozon can be equipped with powerful special filters that enable accelerated catalytic ozone decomposition.
