VRF systems, single or multi-split air conditioning systems
What are VRF systems, single or multisplit air conditioning systems? While single or multisplit solutions are used for smaller to medium-sized air conditioning, VRF systems are suitable for larger projects.
The difference lies in the fact that in single and multi-split systems, each indoor unit is connected to the outdoor unit, whereas in VRF systems, a central line is created to the outdoor unit, from which the individual indoor units are supplied with a branch line to the main line. The outdoor units of multi-split systems are designed for the connection of up to seven indoor units; beyond that, another outdoor unit must be installed or a switch to VRF must be made.
single split
A single split system consists of an outdoor unit and an indoor unit. The outdoor unit is, as the name suggests, located outside and is connected to the indoor units via refrigerant lines.
Single split: One outdoor unit supplies one indoor unit.
Multisplit
With a multi-split system, you can air condition (cool or heat) two to seven rooms simultaneously using an outdoor unit. Each indoor unit is connected separately to the outdoor unit. All connected indoor units operate in the same mode, meaning either all cool or all heat. Whether an outdoor unit is actually sufficient for seven indoor units depends on the performance of the outdoor unit and the cooling or heating requirements of the indoor units. For accurate calculation and design, it is best to consult our professionals.
Multisplit: One outdoor unit supplies multiple indoor units, each of which is individually connected to the outdoor unit.
VRF
VRF: An outdoor unit supplies a central duct, to which several rooms can be connected and optionally cooled or heated.

A prerequisite for decades of enjoyment from your system is competent planning. The first rule for economical operation is: The cooling capacity must match the room. When calculating the appropriate cooling capacity, not only the room size is crucial. The number of people who typically occupy the room, the window areas, and the wall thickness also play an important role. The same applies to heat sources that additionally heat the room. These can be technical devices such as printers, PCs, or lighting. We would be happy to calculate the optimal cooling capacity for your rooms after a site visit and jointly select the appropriate air conditioning unit with you. Because even the highest quality system is only as good as its planning, installation, maintenance, and care.
