The Mira air humidifier is an elegant and high-quality cold evaporator with a thoughtful control system. The control panel and display ensure optimal user comfort and provide information about the current humidity level in the room. The three-speed fan is whisper-quiet on the lowest setting, making the Mira suitable for noise-sensitive areas such as bedrooms.
Functional principle:
Two inserted filter cartridges fill up with water from the tank. This creates a moisture buildup in the housing, which is expelled into the room through the quiet axial fan. This principle is very economical in terms of consumption, as only the fan is operated.
Unlike ultrasonic humidifiers, the expelled moist air from evaporative coolers like the Mira is not visible. Minerals and lime from the tap water filled in remain in the filter, so that no lime dust can settle in the room. For this reason, especially in regions with hard, lime-rich water, we recommend using evaporative coolers instead of ultrasonic humidifiers.
Service:
Compared to the smaller model of the Stylies series "Orion", the Mira always displays the current value of the room humidity on the screen. The desired target humidity can be set in 5% increments at the push of a button between 40-65%, and continuous operation is also possible. Once the desired humidity is reached, the Mira pauses until the humidity drops again. To occasionally verify the true value of the air, the ventilation also starts in pause mode every 30 minutes for a short time. If the air is fine, the operation rests again for 30 minutes or until the sensor reports a value that is too low.
Ventilation and automatic mode:
In automatic mode, the Mira independently decides whether humidification is necessary and, if so, at which ventilation level. A reference value of 45% room humidity applies in this setting. If the measured humidity is far from this value, the ventilation operates at a high level. The closer the humidity gets to the 45% range, the lower the fan speed will be. If the humidifier is not set to automatic mode, the ventilation can be adjusted in three levels according to personal preferences. In bedrooms, the whisper-quiet operation at level 1 is usually sufficient, while in living rooms or offices, a stronger ventilation level can certainly be chosen. This also significantly increases the humidification performance.
Timer:
The timer allows the humidifier to be limited in time, depending on the need for 1, 2, 4, or 8 hours of operation. Another function of the timer is to remind the user to replace the filter and silver cube after 1440 hours of operation.
Also well solved:
The tank is large and transparent, and the fill level is always visible. Furthermore, the container has an integrated handle, making it very easy to lift out of the device for filling. With proper handling, very little water is spilled during filling.
Consumables and Maintenance:
To prevent bacteria from settling in the water tank and filters, we recommend using a so-called silver cube (Ionic Silver Cube) in dehumidifiers. This is placed in the water tray between the filters and cleans the water of bacteria. The consumable should be replaced once per season to maintain the humidifier's performance and hygiene.
