With its filters and high air throughput, it is ideally suited for removing airborne particles such as fine dust, household dust, or pollen from the room air. It filters particles down to 0.0003mm in size. This means that the particles are practically completely filtered out of the air with each pass through the purifier. Regarding cleaning effectiveness against the Corona virus
Coronaviruses have a diameter of about 60 - 160 nm (60 nm = 0.00006 mm).
The HEPA filter in this device cleans particles up to 0.0003 mm in size. The virus is therefore smaller than the filter's purity rate.
But: Viruses do not fly individually in the air, but are always enclosed in larger droplets (so-called aerosols). In human breath, the smallest droplets have a size of about 1 µm = 0.001 mm (when coughing: 10 µm = 0.01 mm). The HEPA filter thus captures the aerosols and cleans the air of COVID-19 viruses as well. For risk reduction, e.g., in waiting rooms, classrooms, offices, or even in private settings, the device is therefore very effective and recommended.
Characteristics
Prefilter:
The washable pre-filter (filter grid) removes all larger particles such as hair and lint, thus ensuring a longer lifespan for the HEPA filter.
HEPA Filter:

Maintenance and filter change
The maintenance is limited to the periodic replacement of the filters. This is very simple and can be done without tools in a few minutes. How often the filters need to be replaced depends on the frequency of use as well as the degree of air pollution. With regular use in an average environment, the filters should be replaced approximately twice a year.
