Description
The new Secomat4 from Krüger impresses with its intuitive operation and well-thought-out functionality. Its modern design, which has been awarded the prestigious "Reddot" award, makes it a real eye-catcher.
Designed for single-family homes with higher drying needs or multi-family homes with lower needs, it offers a drying capacity of about three washing machine loads per day. Available in elegant anthracite and exclusively with us also in stylish azure blue.
Operation
The operation of the Secomat4 is incredibly simple: Once switched on, the advanced software in combination with various sensors takes over the fully automatic operation. At the push of a button, you can choose between three operating modes:
Only drying laundry: In this mode, the Secomat4 dries the laundry until it is completely dry. If there is no laundry in the room or if it is already dry, the device automatically pauses.
Drying laundry and room monitoring: Here, the Secomat4 first dries the laundry. As soon as it is dry or no laundry is hanging in the room, it automatically switches to room monitoring mode. In this mode, the room air humidity is kept consistently below 60% r.H. to prevent odors and mold formation.
Only room monitoring: This mode allows the use of the Secomat4 as a pure room dehumidifier, independent of laundry drying. Here, too, the room air humidity is kept below 60% r.H. to ensure an optimal room climate.
Wi-Fi and app
"Anyone who wants to monitor or change the dryer and its operation can easily do so via the well-developed app on their phone. For this, the device must be within the range of a Wi-Fi network in the house."
Sensors
Like most dehumidifiers on the market, the new Secomat models are also equipped with humidity sensors. These measure the room humidity and provide information about the drying process of the laundry. Furthermore, they control the ventilation strength: while very wet laundry releases sufficient moisture even at a low ventilation level, the ventilation is increased as the laundry dries. This is to optimally blow out any remaining moisture from the laundry and to keep the laundry as smooth as possible in the wind.
Another sensor is an optical sensor. This sensor remembers the room in an empty state and thus detects when laundry is hanging. When laundry is detected, the device switches to the drying mode. It can distinguish whether the items are statically hung objects (= laundry) or moving objects such as people or animals. Their movement does not trigger the drying process.
Airway and filter
The humid room air is drawn in at the front in the lower area, dried, and then blown back into the room at high speed from the upper area. An air filter cleans the drawn-in air of dirt and fine dust. It is washable and has been significantly improved compared to previous generations. It is now integrated into a solid folding door and is easy to remove.
Water drainage
The drained water is discharged through a hose connection. The connection is located on the bottom of the device near the wall, so that the water runs practically vertically into a siphon mounted below via a hose. With an angle coupling, the water can also be diverted sideways.
Montage
The wall mounting is relatively easy and quick with little craftsmanship. A support rail is fixed to the wall with three screws, and the dryer can then be hung in this support rail. By the way, the support rail of the penultimate generation is compatible, so no new holes need to be drilled. All necessary mounting materials such as rail, screws, dowels, and hose coupling are included in the delivery.
