Marker dye for building diagnostics and leak detection.Water-soluble powder for
• the tracing and leak detection in drains and wastewater systems
• the detection of leaks in flat roofs, terrace drains, and underground garages
"It is harmless to humans and animals as well as biologically unproblematic."
standard colors
The leak detection dyes are available in red, green, blue, and yellow. They are visually recognizable without aids. These are dissolved in water in the area to be tested, making the water flow to be examined visible.special paintAdditionally, the leak detection dye is available in fluorescent/uranine. It is most visible under infrared and ultraviolet light.
ApplicationThe marking dye is dissolved in water (1 level teaspoon of dye for 10 liters of water). A lower or higher color intensity can be individually adjusted by using more or less dye. Please refer to the safety data sheet and adhere to the recommended dosage.
questions and answers
Are the leak detection dyes also suitable for murky water?
Yes. Generally, leak detection involves wastewater or contaminated water. The application is possible with all colors and also with fluorescein. However, for fluorescein, you will additionally need a UV flashlight. Please refer to the safety data sheet and always discuss the applications with the respective environmental authority. Applications involving drinking water or groundwater discharge could be problematic.
"We need to check an underground river course. Are your colors approved for this?"
Yes. Our colors are very well suited and approved for leak detection in wastewater. However, please contact the relevant environmental authority before use, as it may be possible that you could color a body of water, and then, of course, calls from concerned citizens would arrive at the office. Present our corresponding safety data sheet for this purpose. Please observe the safety data sheet and always discuss the applications with the respective environmental authority. Applications involving drinking or groundwater discharge could be problematic.
Can your colors be used for flat roof leak detection?
Yes. You would need to subdivide the roof area, seal the drains, and partially flood sections by adding colors. This way, you can localize the leak. Also, try this with our test fog, which you can push under the roof membrane using a fogger and a side channel blower. If you detect fog escaping here, you have pinpointed the error accurately. Please refer to the safety data sheet and always discuss the applications with the respective environmental authority. Applications involving drinking or groundwater introduction could be problematic.
