Description
Good heating performance with small space requirements
Compact in form and size, this matte black infrared heater is designed for quick heating of balconies, terraces, trade fair and market stands, outdoor events, seating and standing areas in outdoor gastronomy, as well as comparable areas with minimal space requirements. Whether in the cold winter, in spring with still cool temperatures, or on unexpectedly chilly summer nights – this heater with digital display and remote control enriches outdoor areas year-round with pleasantly summery temperatures, without taking up much space.
Easy handling
The lightweight heater impresses with its easy operation while providing maximum functionality and heat intensity. It floods areas of 8 - 14 m² with targeted instant heat, either at the push of a button on the device itself or via remote control. In contrast to conventional halogen heating tubes, the high-quality carbon infrared tube emits 80 percent less red light, but significantly more pleasant infrared heat. The expected lifespan of this tube is approximately 10,000 operating hours.
Usable as a wall or ceiling heater
As a wall and ceiling heater, the heater warms seating groups, standing tables, and outdoor lounge areas with odorless heat without preheating time. For the uncomplicated installation of the carbon heater, a 45° swiveling bracket along with screws and dowels is included in the delivery. With the approximately 1.80 m long cable, nearby sockets can be reached.
pleasant warmth
The pleasant infrared heat of the infrared heater is immediately noticeable on the skin after switching it on. To adjust the heat intensity as needed, the device has four heating levels with 800 watts, 1200 watts, 1600 watts, and 2000 watts of heating power, selectable via the integrated control panel or the included remote control.
Planned Heat Outdoors
"For energy-saving programming of a specified operating duration, the heater is equipped with a practical 24-hour timer. Once set, the heater automatically switches off after a predetermined number of hours (1-24 hours). This reduces unnecessary operating costs and simplifies usage, especially in commercial applications."
Safe and Weatherproof
For maximum safety, the infrared heater is equipped with a self-resetting overheating protection. If the maximum permissible operating temperature of the heater is exceeded, a safety thermostat automatically shuts down the operation. Another advantage – especially for professional use in gastronomy – is the design aluminum housing constructed according to protection class IP55, which allows the splash-proof infrared heater to reliably withstand wind and rain.
Infrared heat: As pleasant as the sun
The heater warms its immediate surroundings according to the natural principle of the sun. Unlike devices with heating wires, the infrared rays do not warm the surrounding air, but exclusively the surfaces and people they encounter. The irradiated objects (for example, furniture, walls, and ceilings) absorb the heat and store it, gradually releasing it again. The objects thus serve as an additional energy and heat storage – even when the device is turned off, which further increases efficiency. The heat radiation creates a pleasant feeling of warm sunlight on the skin in summer.
"Every person perceives temperatures differently. Our individual heat perception is influenced, for example, by the distance to the heat source. The smaller the distance to the heater, the smaller the irradiated area – the greater the distance to the heater, the larger the irradiated area. The 2000 watt strong carbon tube is recommended for areas in outdoor spaces of about 8 m² in cold or 14 m² in slightly tempered environments."
No disturbing emissions
The clean and condensation-free instant heat is generated, unlike electric heaters, without dust swirling, disturbing noises, and unpleasant odors.
Low Glare: 100% heat, 80% less light
Conventional infrared heaters without Low Glare technology often emit an intense orange-red light along with the heat radiation, which many people perceive as warm and cozy. However, to ensure that the surroundings are not overly illuminated or disturbed, the IR 2005 from Trotec features a carbon infrared tube with light-reducing Low Glare technology.
Advantages of Low Glare Technology
Romantic candlelight atmosphere: Low glare shortwave heaters produce a larger share of infrared light from the invisible light spectrum – and that with unchanged heating performance. Furthermore, the infrared radiation is bundled through an innovative coating process of the tubes, which reduces scattering losses. Overall, Trotec carbon infrared heaters with low glare technology achieve a brightness reduction of up to 80% with an expected lifespan of approximately 10,000 hours.
Full heat output at lower brightness: "As the perceivable light is significantly reduced, the immediate surroundings of the heater create the impression of a cozy candlelight atmosphere, and the ambiance is noticeably more pleasant. An already existing lighting concept on the terrace or in the gastronomy is overall less affected."
Note: Low Glare carbon heating tubes appear just as intensely reddish when viewed as conventional infrared heaters without Low Glare. In fact, they emit 80% less visible light. With the same heat output – for more comfort and romance.
