This Climacontrol set consists on one hand of the standard version "TFA Climacontrol", which is supplemented by a separate temperature scanner. The base device itself measures and displays room temperature, humidity, and the dew point. With the separate surface scanner, the temperature of walls and objects can be measured. This allows for the detection of cold bridges and the regulation of room humidity to a correct value, preventing the formation of condensation.
The TFA Clima Control Set has the quality award "Humidity Precision Sensor". Only devices with above-average measurement accuracy belong in this class and are mostly used in the professional sector.
base unit:
The base unit measures humidity and temperature in the room and simultaneously calculates the dew point. The dew point indicates how cold walls or surfaces can be at the current room humidity before condensation occurs. Furthermore, this base unit has an optical display that lights up red as soon as a certain humidity level is exceeded, selectable at 55/60/65% humidity. This allows for a quick visual check to see whether the room is too humid or not.
Moisture scanner:
The small handheld scanner measures the temperature of surfaces. Especially in winter, walls or pipes can be significantly colder than the room air, leading to the formation of condensation. This can lead to mold problems in the medium term. Now the exciting part: on the base station, the dew point is visible, which is the temperature below which no condensation forms. If, for example, the wall is colder than the displayed dew point, the humidity must be reduced until the displayed dew point is below the temperature of the wall or pipe. This allows the correct room humidity to be precisely adjusted to the room conditions.
