A popular alternative to the dehumidification automatic function is the comfort function, where the humidity level is automatically adjusted to a comfortable value depending on the temperature. Additional operating modes include a laundry drying function and a permanent function.
Comfort function: Temperature-dependent air dehumidification
To achieve an optimal indoor climate, room temperature and humidity must be coordinated. This is exactly where temperature-dependent dehumidification comes into play. The device adjusts the humidity level based on temperature to the optimal value. The comfort function is particularly recommended when using programmable heating systems. If the room temperature changes during the day or at night, the dehumidifier automatically adjusts its dehumidification performance. This protects against mold formation and saves electricity.
Permanent air circulation
In this model, the compressor (= dehumidification) stops when the desired humidity level is reached, while the fan runs continuously to circulate the room air.
Practical Functions
When drying residential and office spaces of up to around 40 m², this dryer is an absolutely reliable partner. Various details simplify operation, such as the viewing window on the tank, which makes the fill level easily recognizable, the practical timer function, the fill level warning light when the water container is full, and the overflow protection with automatic shut-off. The air filter is easy to remove and wash. When the tank is full, a float automatically interrupts operation.
Auto-Restart Function
The auto-restart function (or memory function) allows the device to restart with unchanged settings after a power interruption as soon as the power supply is restored. This makes the dehumidifier suitable for use with a timer.
Gentle laundry drying with dehumidifiers
In addition to dehumidifying the room air, a dehumidifier can be used to significantly accelerate the drying of laundry – either as a support or as a complete replacement for a conventional tumble dryer. The laundry drying function (or textile drying mode or SuperDry function) is comparable to traditional air drying outdoors. Dehumidifiers offer the advantage that laundry is dried gently, just like in nature. Colors remain vibrant, and clothing has a longer lifespan than with conventional tumble dryers, all while consuming significantly less electricity. Additionally, delicate materials such as wool, silk, or synthetic fibers can be dried without concerns.
Environmentally friendly refrigerant R290
Annually, several million tons of environmentally harmful CO2 emissions (greenhouse gases) are released into the air due to synthetic refrigerants. Therefore, the use of alternative refrigerants is one of our most important goals. By using propane (R290) as a refrigerant, this air dehumidifier makes a valuable contribution to climate protection. The natural refrigerant propane (R290) is an organic compound and belongs to the hydrocarbons. Unlike synthetic refrigerants, environmentally friendly propane (R290) has neither ozone depletion potential (ODP=0) nor a significant greenhouse effect (GWP=3).
