The active electrode RFT 28 EL is a sensor for measuring air humidity and air temperature with a fast measurement speed. It is an addition to one of the Gann-Hydromette base stations listed below and cannot be operated independently of them.
The fast response speed of the sensor allows for the detection of leaks, e.g. door gaps or leaky windows, as even slight air currents can influence the measurement display. The sensor also adapts to the ambient climate even when switched off. For particularly precise measurements, the device should be exposed to the environment to be measured for 10 - 15 minutes, so that any temperature differences between the electrode and the surrounding climate can be balanced out.
