Combined EPA - Activated Carbon Filter Combination (E11) suitable for Air Purifier WDH-H600A. The replacement is easy and occurs when the already installed filter can no longer fulfill its function.
Particle
The EPA is a high-performance particulate filter (EPA = Efficient Particulate Air filter) with a purity rate of 95%. It captures particles up to 0.001 mm in size. This filter can be used in addition to the HEPA and activated carbon filters in the device to enhance the result with each pass of air through the device, or it can also be used as a standalone filter against odors and particles. Its purity rate is slightly lower than that of the HEPA filter (0.0003 mm). It provides supportive virus protection, but is not equally protective as the HEPA H13.
odors/fumes
Absorbs and cleans many types of smoke and odors (e.g. cigarette smoke) and also helps to break down toxic vapors, gases, and solvents (e.g. formaldehyde, benzene, ammonia, sulfur, etc.).
This combination filter is ideally placed in the lowest filter compartment of the device, that is, after the coarse dust filter (pre-filter) but before the fan. In this way, it protects the motor from contamination and reduces the amount of particles that would otherwise only be filtered out by the subsequent HEPA H13 filter. Since the HEPA H13 filter is more expensive than the pre-filter, this combination makes sense and extends the maintenance interval, that is, the time until the next filter change is due.
