What can be found in almost every household in the far north is hardly known in our region. The drying cabinet is space-saving and dries clothes, shoes, gloves, etc. quickly and gently. The capacity corresponds to approximately a 16m long clothesline or about 5 kg of laundry. The door hinge on this model is on the right and the handle is accordingly on the left.
Gentle drying
Unlike a conventional tumbler, cabinet dryers do not cause wear and tear on textiles. The Ecodryer 2.0 is built on the latest heat pump technology, making it energy-efficient. A stream of warm air is regularly distributed inside the cabinet from the back wall through dozens of exhaust holes, ensuring that the laundry dries evenly. The maximum internal temperature is 55°C, allowing even more delicate garments to be dried.

The drying process itself is quite simple: at the push of a button, you can choose between damp ironing and cupboard dry. The preset recommended values can be changed at any time to personal preferences. When the laundry is dry, the device switches off. The operating noise of the drying cabinet is only 52 dB(A) (comparable to a range hood), making it significantly quieter than room air dryers. It is therefore also suitable for use in apartments and noise-sensitive basement environments. The operating language can be selected according to personal preference. In addition to the Nordic languages, operation is also available in German, French, and English by default.
The interior inventory of the cabinet dryer consists of 3 pull-out fork sliders, each with 10 rods, which can be directly hung with laundry or hangers. When longer garments are hung on the hanger, the two lower shelves can simply be folded up, so that half or the entire interior height remains free. Additional items for drying, such as shoes, ski boots, etc., can be placed on the bottom plate.
The extracted water is drained similarly to a dehumidifier or Secomat. It can either be collected in a simply removable 2-liter bucket or drained directly through a hose connection. This ensures that hardly any moisture enters the room air. An integrated pump also allows for drainage into higher drainage lines up to about 1.2m from the floor. The bucket is equipped with a float that automatically interrupts operation when full.
Economical operation
The "Ecodryer" drying cabinets differ from previous models in that they are not based on energy-intensive resistance heating, but on an economical heat pump principle. This reduces operating costs compared to earlier models by 70%. Only the waste heat from the compressor is used to heat the interior of the cabinet. A thermostat monitors the interior temperature. If it rises above 55°C, a second fan is activated, which immediately regulates the interior temperature as needed. With this technology, consumption has been reduced to 0.28 kWh per kg of laundry. A drying process takes approximately 1.5-3 hours, depending on the load and moisture content of the laundry.
maintenance
Under the easily removable floor plate lies the air filter, which must be cleaned regularly. Otherwise, the device is maintenance-free. Also very well thought out is the handling in the unlikely event of a technical problem: the entire technology is inserted under the floor plate as a cassette and can be pulled out for repair work or replacement without having to move or transport the cabinet itself.
