The Dryfix "HotAirStopper" and "HotAirStopper XL" are practical accessories for mobile air conditioning units. They simply and reliably seal the window opening required for the passage of the exhaust hose from mobile air conditioning units.
This window seal prevents heat from outside on one hand, and the expelled warm air from the air conditioning unit itself from flowing back into the room on the other hand. As a side effect, it keeps mosquitoes and other unwanted insects away. Ultimately, the solution also saves energy: the efficiency of the air conditioning unit is significantly increased because the heat load in the room is reduced.
Function principle and assembly
The Dryfix "HotAirStopper" consists of a roll of hook-and-loop tape that is adhesive on one side, as well as a cloth made of durable special fabric. Incorporated into the cloth is a zipper with two opposing zippers, which allows the exhaust hose to be fixed at the appropriate height from both sides in the window opening. The installation is comparably simple, like attaching a mosquito net: the hook-and-loop strip is glued along the three open sides of the window itself and the window frame. The cloth can then be easily attached with the hook-and-loop. A corresponding installation manual is included in the delivery. By the way, the windows can still be closed even when the cloth is mounted. Ideally, the cloth should not be stretched too tightly over the corners.
Calculation window cycle
The standard version fits all common casement or tilt windows, whose three open sides do not exceed a total measurement of 400 cm. Only with us can you also get an XL version for a total measurement of 600 cm (surcharge +CHF 10.-) while supplies last.

Which windows does the system work on?
For all common tilt-and-turn windows in old and new buildings, as well as for installable skylights. Ideal are plastic or metal windows. With older, painted wooden windows, some paint may come off when removing the adhesive tape (similar to a mosquito net).
Can I also use the system on my balcony door?
Yes. If you open the door as a wing, the standard version is sufficient. If the balcony door is tilted, the XL version fits.
Is the cloth machine washable?
Yes, up to 40°, e.g. wash program "easy care"
