Compact adsorption dryer for versatile use in the drying of water damage or for keeping rooms dry with permanent moisture load. The mobile adsorbers of this type are also suitable for industrial applications where low air humidity is required, for example in production facilities.
Adsorption dryers have a practically constant dehumidification performance regardless of the room temperature. They are therefore also suitable for use in cold environments, even below freezing point. In principle, the air is passed through a continuously rotating sorption rotor, which is a wheel made of a very moisture-absorbent material. The moisture absorbed by the rotor is expelled from the device by a heated (PTC heating) air stream flowing in the opposite direction (= regeneration air) and must be vented out of the room. The dry air is directed into the room or through hoses to the areas that need to be dried.
service
The operation is incredibly simple: plug it into the socket, turn on the device with the toggle switch, and set the desired humidity level on the hygrostat. Adjusting the air volumes is not necessary.
Installation of the device
The dryer can optionally be placed outside the damp zone or in the room itself:
Set up outside the damp area, the dry air is blown into the area to be dried using suitable hoses. The moist exhaust air either enters the room where the dryer is located or can also be discharged using hoses, for example, through a window to the outside. This setup is usually used for drying water damage in cavities, such as water damage under bathtubs or in water pits. When drying water damage in dense materials like underfloor drying, the dry air from the adsorption dryer is additionally pressurized with the help of compressors (e.g., with VP2-6 sound boxes from our range) and can thus be directed to hard-to-reach areas.
The arrangement in the room itself is suitable when the entire air volume needs to be kept dry, usually in industrial or commercial applications. The dry air flows directly from the device into the room, while the moist exhaust air is led out of the room via a hose.
